This Chinese Century Hoodie was a joint effort between Bertand and myself (Robert). This particular place probably took the better part of 3 hours to nail down. It is certainly one design I am extremely proud of and one of the most satisfying designs I've been a part of creating. I actually used a template to begin but by the time the design was finished, there was no trace of the original template left! This piece features a Chinese building with an ornate frame with the text,”The Chinese Century” slightly overhanging said frame. Below that design is a text box featuring the year of the founding of the PRC (1949), which would eventually lead to the establishment of the Chinese century at the turn of the 20th century with the fall of the American Empire. Featured on the sleeve is the text “made in China” in a font reminiscent of stereotypically communist aesthetics.

The web background behind the hoodie depicts an illustrative representation of China’s beautiful natural scenery, which most people overlook when they picture China in their minds, which is usually bustling cities with skyscrapers cascading the skyline indefinitely. The background shows China’s beautiful elevated landscape, with a flock of birds gracefully flying over the mountain top, with a valley below.
